Rich discovered an affinity for massage as a young child. At family parties he was frequently asked to work out “knots” in people's backs. Years later, Rich realized his passion for helping people through their personal problems and that the most effective way for him to assist them was through massage. In September of 2012, Rich was introduced to Thai Bodywork. After practicing on friends for a year, he attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine to become licensed as a massage therapist. Rich completed his program in April 2015.
In giving massage, Rich seeks to hold a safe and nurturing space where his clients can experience their bodies' innate abilities to heal themselves. He approaches bodywork with a firm foundation in physical anatomy while cultivating an acute awareness of the subtle. Rich’s goal is to help alleviate physical pain while guiding his clients to connect to any emotional pain that may surface in order to treat the person as a whole.
